Pedal power will be helping keep neighbourhoods in Lichfield safe after officers were handed new bikes.
The seven cycles were funded as part of the Lichfield District Community Safety Partnership after sponsorship from manufacturer Dawes Cycles and city shop Graham’s Cycles.
Inspector Rachel Joyce, Commander of Lichfield District Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are very grateful to the safety partnership, the manufacturer and local retailer for their generosity.
“Having bikes available for use by our local officers and PCSOs enables them to be more visible and to get around their patch as they work at keeping our communities safe and reassured.”
