Lichfield racing driver Ant Whorton-Eales has rounded-off his Renault UK Clio Cup season with a podium finish during the final race of the campaign.
Continual rain made conditions tough at Brands Hatch, but the city speedster coped well to claim his fourth rostrum of the year.
The KX Racing with Scuderia Vittoria driver shone in the bleak weather and scythed his way through the order from ninth on the grid.
“It was a fantastic race,” said Whorton-Eales. “To slowly pick those in front of us off one by one and finish third is a great result.
“I’d love to be back on this package again next year in the new turbo Clio, I’d love to have a go in the new car so we’ll have to see what happens.”
The result saw the 19-year-old Lichfield racer finish seventh in the overall championship and fourth in the Graduate Cup.
