LICHFIELD bounced back to winning ways with a 31-run triumph at Wightwick and Finchfield.
After being sent in to bat first, the city side made a bright opening, reaching 60 before Harry Turley Salmons became the first batsman to fall.
Ihsaan Nadeem and Mohamed Karoual soon followed without adding to the tally though as they slipped to 64-3.
But opener Adam Braddock’s 89 and a half century from Rory Prentice got the Lichfield show back on the road as they were eventually bowled out for 212.
The weather saw the home side set a revised target of 187 from 44 overs.
Lichfield kept up the pressure from the off though, with Wightwick and Finchfield slipping to 55-3.
Raess Carr looked to be rallying the home side, but he was eventually removed by Liam Orgill after scoring 33 to leave his side on 118-4 – and more wickets followed as they fell to 133-8.
The visitors eventually completed the job as they skittled out their hosts for 155.
Prentice was the pick of the Lichfield bowlers as he finished with figures of 5-34, while Turley-Salmons and Orgill both picked up a pair each as well.
