Members of the Rotary Club in Lichfield have been debating the criminal justice system with Staffordshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner.
Matthew Ellis visited the George Hotel earlier this week for a lively debate on a range of policing issues.
The Lichfield St Chad Rotary is one of 33,000 clubs worldwide who are part of Rotary International.
“There was excellent debate on the state of policing – the time flew by!” said Commissioner Ellis. “It went on much longer than intended but I was very grateful for the good quality questions and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
“It’s all part of getting out and about and talking to as many people as possible about what we’re trying to do to get value for money policing, more police visibility and spend public money better.”
