Lichfield residents are being invited to celebrate all things English at a St George’s Day event in the city.
The city’s Market Square and Market Street will be flying the patriotic flag from 10am to 4pm on April 23.
Visitors will be able to watch English folk dancing, join in the Hunt the Dragon, enjoy storytelling theatre, face-painting and live music.
The historic St George’s Court, an ancient Manorial Court dating back to 1548, will be held in the Guildhall from 12 noon to 1pm. The Court is held in a light-hearted fashion with the Mayor, as Lord of the Manor, presiding and assisted by the Steward of the Manor (the Town Clerk) and is open to the public.
