LICHFIELD fell to a second straight defeat after batting woes saw them go down by seven wickets against Milford Hall 2nds.
The city side opted to bat first after winning the toss, making a steady start before Adam Braddock was caught after scoring 14.
Harry Turley-Salmons was unable to repeat his batting performance of last week as he went for seven to leave the scoreboard reading 29-2.
Ihsaan Nadeem was bowled by Mark Thompson with the score on 46, sparking a run of wickets that saw Lichfield fall to 57-5.
The hosts hauled themselves to 82 before Elliot Dowen became the sixth batsman to return to the pavilion.
The tail failed to wag as Lichfield were eventually skittled out for 109 in 43 overs. Thompson did much of the damage for Milford Hall as he finished with figures of 4-17.
Rescuing anything from the encounter was always going to be a tall order, particularly after visiting openers Dominic Afford and Blake Haddrell scored 39 and 33 respectively.
Milford Hall’s number three Harry Trubshaw went for a duck, but the damage was already done as they eased past the target for the loss of just three wickets in 23 overs.
Lichfield’s Nick Richards took two wickets while Ijaz Yousaf took the other.
