A Lichfield woman says she feels “lucky” to have been awarded the British Empire Medal.
Ashley Hall received the award from Lord-Lieutenant, Mr Ian Dudson CBE CStJ on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen.
The honour was in recognition of fundraising work she has carried out for Rocklands School.
“I feel very lucky to have received such an award and I would like to thank the people who nominated me,” she said. “They have obviously put a lot of their own time and effort into the citations.
“I am very grateful to them.”
