The new Radio One breakfast show has been given a little flavour of Lichfield thanks to a local woman.

Victoria Clayton has been heard taking part in a quiz as part of the new Nick Grimshaw-fronted show this week.
She was invited to appear on air with the replacement for Chris Moyles after regularly taking on celebrities – including Beth Ditto, the Scissor Sisters, Kelly Osbourne and Lethal Bizzle – in his old show.
“When I found out Nick Grimshaw was moving to the breakfast show I had no idea what would happen next,” Victoria said. “He rang me the Thursday before his debut and asked me to be on the breakfast show with him. As you can imagine I was jumping round the house he told me not to panic as he read out how many people would be listening to me – just a mere eight million.
“So 8.45am rolled around on Monday and my phone went as I sat at my dining table with my snowman nightie on and it was that lovely familiar voice, Nick Grimshaw. We played a quiz, I won it was against a robot it was all very random and exciting.”
Victoria’s appearance have seen a fan page opened to her on Facebook and Twitter calls for more appearances on Nick Grimshaw’s show – but it’s not the first time she has appeared on a national broadcast.
In 2012, she appeared on Bargain Hunt – the start of what she describes “as a mission to reach the dizzy heights of Z-list fame”.
Victoria – who works at The Spark Cafe Bar in Lichfield – said: “In the summer of 2012 and I was in my final year of university, feeling a bit stressed so I decided the best thing for me to do would be to try and get famous.”
Her last appearance on the show can be heard two minutes and 36 seconds into the downloadable podcast.
