Women in Lichfield have been getting muddy to raise money for Cancer Research.
Six members of the Phoenix Fit Camp took part in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy Event which saw them take on a 5km obstacle course.
And their efforts in torrential rain helped to raise £685 for the charity.
Megan Trench said: “We all had our own personal reasons for taking part in the event. All of us know someone who had been struck by cancer and we wanted to do our bit to show our support for our friends and families.
“We undertook this challenge to raise money and awareness for such a great cause and to challenge ourselves. For many of us this is the first time we have ever done anything like this before and it took us all out of our comfort zones but not only did we conquer the obstacles, we also conquered those personal obstacles such as the self-doubts that said we couldn’t do it.”
It was the second year the ladies-only Race for Life Pretty Muddy Event had taken place and saw participants crawling through tunnels and mud pits, scrambling over cargo nets and sliding into puddles of mud.
Sharon Crosby added: “It was a massive challenge for me and I am proud to think that just a couple of months ago before I started at Fit Camp there was no way I would have even thought about doing something like that.”
