Beacon Park has won a green flag from the Keep Britain Tidy group.
The accolade means Lichfield is now the recognised as having a top green space.
The environmental charity handed out a green flag to 1,447 parks and green areas across the UK.
Beacon Park’s 70 acres were commended for the variety of facilities of offer and the different ways the site is used.
“We are absolutely delighted to receive a Green Flag Award for the third year running,” said Cllr Val Richards.
“This award recognises and highlights that people in Beacon Park are benefitting from a green space of the very highest quality.”
