An elderly driver has had a narrow escape after being stopped driving the wrong way along the A38 in Lichfield.
The man was stopped by officers travelling north on the southbound carriageway at around 7.45pm last night (November 23).
A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers were able to intercept the vehicle and the driver was taken to hospital for appropriate medical assistance.
“Minor damage was caused to another vehicle during the incident, but fortunately no one was injured.”
