A man has died after being hit by a van in Whittington.
The incident happened on Lichfield Road at around 5am this morning (February 16).
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “Sadly, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man who was confirmed dead at the scene.”
Police say the driver of the white Volkswagen Transporter van was uninjured but was taken to Good Hope Hospital suffering from shock.
Witnesses are being asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 67 of February 16.
