Man killed in Lichfield crash is named

Police have named a man who died in a Lichfield crash.

Stanley Rowlands, of Redlock Fields in the city, was driving his black Saab when it left the road and collided with a parked Ford Ka on Shortbutts Lane at 12.20pm on Tuesday (February 25).

The 87-year-old was taken to Good Hope Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival.

Witnesses to the crash are asked to contact PC Alan Smart at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 244 of February 25.
