A man was rushed to hospital after suffering a heart attack on scaffolding in Lichfield.
The man collapsed six foot up the scaffolding on Dimbles Lane at 5pm on Friday (February 17).
Two ambulances crews, a senior paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance were called to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “The paramedic officer and first ambulance crew climbed to reach the man and began basic life support whilst on the platform.
“Once the fire service and further ambulance staff arrived on scene the man was quickly lifted down to the ground, due to his critical condition, where crews commenced advanced life support. The man was shocked three times with a defibrillator which successfully restarted the man’s heart.
“Crews conveyed the man by land ambulance on blue lights to Good Hope Hospital whilst vital emergency treatment continued on route.
“Medics were pre alerted to the arrival of the man who was said to be in a serious condition.”
No further updates have been given about his condition.
