Lichfield City FC rounded off their season with a victory at Alvis Sporting.
The 3-2 triumph means City finish the season 12th in the Midland Football League Division One – a slip from their seventh place finish last season.
A first half blitz from Gary Birch’s men was enough to earn them the points.
Mark Rose opened his side’s account before Tom Evans doubled the advantage.
Rose went close again before finally adding his second and Lichfield’s third.
The only downside of the first half was a back injury which forced the prolific Rose off.
City started the second half three goals to the good and in control of the game, with Lee Osborne going close.
But Alvis threw a spanner in the works when they pulled a goal back.
A penalty for the hosts saw them claw the deficit back to just one, but Lichfield held on to seal the three points.
