A Mark Rose hat-trick helped Lichfield City FC secure three points at Cadbury Athletic.
Fresh from their Staffs Vase semi-final triumph at the weekend, Gary Birch’s men piled on the pressure from the off.
Rose had a couple of sighters before opening the scoring in a first half dominated by the visitors, who were unlucky not to be out of sight by the turnaround.
But the second half gave no respite for Cadbury, who found themselves two behind when Holt’s through ball put Rose in the clear.
The City striker could have had his hat-trick earlier but spurned a good chance before Holt went close with a free-kick.
Rose didn’t need a second invitation to complete a treble when he capitalised on Kyle Minto’s flick-on.
Lichfield will look to make it three wins on the bounce when they travel to Nuneaton Griff on Saturday (March 21).
