A four-goal haul for Mark Rose helped Lichfield City FC to victory against Ball Haye Green in the Staffordshire Vase.
Gary Birch’s men got the perfect start when Rose opened the scoring early on. He could have doubled his tally when an effort came back off the bar.
Lichfield controlled much of the first period but failed to add to their tally.
But Rose started the second period as he had the first by doubling his side’s lead. The striker was then denied a second by a good side, before City’s Luke Himson was sent off.
But being reduced to ten didn’t seem to upset Lichfield’s stride as Rose rounded off his hat-trick and then added a fourth for good measure.
