An update on a project to revamp the fire service will be given to the Staffordshire Commissioner at a meeting next week.

Ben Adams will appear at a public performance meeting at 12.30pm on Wednesday (18th May.

Among the topics up for discussion at the meeting with Staffordshire’s Chief Fire Officer Rob Barber will be progress on a “transformation programme” which the Commissioner said would help deliver a more modern service.

Commissioner Adams said:

“My Fire and Rescue Plan, published in December, set out priorities and service expectations on behalf of Staffordshire residents.

“These include a flexible and responsive service, protecting people and places, helping people most at risk stay safe and ensuring we have a fire and rescue service fit for tomorrow.

“At this meeting, people will have the chance to hear directly from their Chief Fire Officer about the progress made so far to deliver the plan, ensuring they are better informed and involved, and can have confidence in the quality of the service provided.”

The meeting will be streamed live online.
