Men have taken part in a mile-long walk in Lichfield to take a stand against domestic violence.
Around 100 people took part in the event, which raised money for the Burntwood-based Pathway Project.
Among those putting their best foot forward were Michael Fabricant MP and Lichfield District Council chairman Cllr David Leytham.
The walkers were given high heels to undertake the course.
“I chickened out,” said Mr Fabricant. “I didn’t fancy blisters or a bunion – but I probably over-compensated on the pink!
“The Pathway Project has become a major resource in the District. No-one deserves to have a home where they are being hurt by the other people they live with and that not only applies to women, but men and children too.
“And that hurt doesn’t just apply to physical injury, but to verbal, emotional, social, financial, and sexual hurt too.”
