POLICE say a prisoner who has absconded has links to the Lichfield area.
Kamajit Singh failed to return to HMP Sudbury by 3pm on Tuesday (23rd June) after five days licensed leave.
He had been jailed in June 2023 for 18 years for conspiring to supply cocaine.
Singh is 5ft 7ins tall with a medium build and has links to areas such as Lichfield, Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall and Stoke-on-Trent.
A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said:
"The public should not approach Singh. Anyone who may have seen him, or has any information about his whereabouts, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 849 of 23rd June."
