A new group is set to enjoy the scenery at Chasewater.

Parents and grandparents are being invited to join the Chasewater Strollers group.

Spokesperson Esther Allen said: “It is a buggy walking group for anyone with a little one to exercise in the fresh air at the lovely Chasewater Country Park.

“Moms, dads, grandparents, carers, childminders – everyone is welcome. All you need is a small child, a pushchair, stroller or pram and some comfortable footwear.

“We are a friendly group and everyone will be made very welcome.

“Walking with a baby or toddler is great for them and you and exercising outdoors is great for your physical and mental health. Plus, it’s a chance to meet other like-minded parents and grandparents, make new friends and have a good chat along the route.”

The Chasewater Strollers will take their first walk on April 14, meeting at the Innovation Centre at 9.30am.

“We will walk about three miles, which takes just under one hour at a medium pace. Our walks will take place in all weathers so bring appropriate footwear, coats, hats – or even sunscreen!

“The route is flat and the paths are mostly tarmac and hard surfaces. Occasionally a very small area of the path can get a bit muddy so don’t bring a treasured pram that you would mind getting a little dirty.”
