The teenage vice-chairman of Burntwood Town Council says she is “honoured” after taking part in her first official engagement.
At 19, Cllr Beth Fisher became the youngest office holder at the authority since its formation following her election.
Her first official engagement saw her represent the town at Lichfield City Council’s Mayoral Service at the Guildhall over the weekend.
She attended the event with her cousin Harry Grosvenor Collis.
“I am sure I am in for an interesting year as vice-chairman of the council.
“I’m honoured that I’ve been chosen to represent Burntwood this year.”
Cllr Fisher will serve alongside the council’s chairman, Cllr Pam Stokes, at a number of civic engagements during the coming year, as well as promiting events such as the Burntwood Wakes.
