New information pack launched to help older people in Lichfield and Burntwood

A new information pack is launched to help older people stay warm and healthy this winter across Lichfield and Burntwood.

The pack includes details from organisations on issues such as energy efficiency, community meals and keeping active.

The Lichfield District Strategic Partnership documentation also gives advice on money and debt, home adaptations and looking out for neighbours, as well as where to go for more help.

Councillor Colin Greatorex, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community, Housing & Health, said: “Older people are especially vulnerable to the cold weather, and this pack has useful information to help local people to live in their homes more comfortably throughout the winter.

“By following the advice and taking advantage of all the help that is available, we’re sure many of our older residents can enjoy living in their homes for longer.”

The Keep Warm It’s Winter pack is free and available on request from Lichfield District Council’s Frog Lane reception.
