New pilates classes are starting in Lichfield.

The Sports Medicine Partners on Lombard Street in the city are beginning a six-week course in their new activity room.
“Pilates is an excellent form of exercise to improve central stability in the body and is useful in the management of most back, neck or shoulder pain,” a spokesperson said. “It can also form part of rehabilitation for other injuries as well as being fantastic at improving general core-strength.”
FitBack and Bump classes are also being introduced for ante- and post-natal women.
“These four week classes are available from week 12 of pregnancy onwards and aim to educate mums and mums-to-be about the most effective and safe way to exercise before and after birth, while addressing any pregnancy-related aches and pains,” the spokesperson added.
