A NEW playing surface has been installed at Lichfield Hockey Club.
The project was funded with the support of £60,000 Community Infrastructure Levy funding from Lichfield District Council.
The pitch was installed by AS Sports Systems Ltd over a five-week period to replace a previous one which had been down for 18 years.
A club spokesperson said:
“It is a fantastic new surface that helps to develop the club and guarantees a world class hockey surface for the city.
“The pitch will benefit not just the club, but the wider hockey community by bringing people to the area with use by Staffordshire Hockey, Midlands Hockey and England Hockey.”
