A NEW reserve team manager has been appointed at Chasetown.

Ronan Gilbert will guide the Scholars’ second string through the forthcoming campaign as they look to build on winning the league and cup double last time out.

He has previously worked with the likes of Sutton Coldfield Town, Bedworth United, Romulus and Lutterworth Town, as well as enjoying a five-year coaching spell with the Aston Villa Foundation.

Ronan said:

“I’m over the moon to be joining such a progressive football club with a talented and successful group of players already in place.

“I’m excited to get started, meet the lads and continue building on the excellent foundations here at Chasetown.”

Matt Witts, Chasetown’s head of youth development, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome Ronan to the football club.

“He is driven, highly, ambitious and passionate about player development – and we believe that is an excellent fit for the culture and direction of the club.

“There is real momentum around the development pathway at Chasetown, and this appointment reflects our continued commitment to creating an environment where young players can thrive and progress.”
