A NEW space to promote creative arts has opened in Lichfield city centre.
The Garrick's Creative Hub is located near the theatre and will provide a rehearsal studio with a dancefloor and meeting rooms.
It is already being used for rehearsals for the Garrick's festive shows Robin Hood and A Shoddy Nativity.
Bosses hope the site will be used by professional productions, community groups and other performers.
The Creative Hub also offers an accessible home for the Garrick Youth Theatre and will be used regularly by South Staffordshire College performing arts courses.
Daniel Buckroyd, artistic director and CEO of the Garrick, said:
"Having this space means that we can both expand the opportunities we offer the communities we serve here in Staffordshire and play a bigger role in the creation of new works that will inspire and engage audiences in the years ahead."

Lichfield Live has been keeping local communities informed for almost two decades – but as a Community Interest Company we can only continue reporting with your support.
