LICHFIELD Hockey Club's women continued their unbeaten start to the season with a scoreless draw at Belper.
What posed to be one of the toughest away fixtures of the season for the city women proved to be just that as the hosts fought off all of the visiting attacks in the first two quarters.
The third quarter saw Belper regroup and come out a little stronger, earning them a few more attacks on goal, but Lichfield's backline and goalkeeper managed to keep the ball out of the net.
The final quarter turned feisty, but the players kept their focus – and the city women could have nicked the victory late on, but a string of short corners were repelled by the home backline.
