Lichfield RUFC’s new training floodlights have been officially unveiled.

The big switch-on coincided with the Greens receiving the RFU Whole Club Accreditation Award.
Representatives from the Rugby Football Union were among those who attended.
Lichfield RUFC’s chairman Dave G Bassett said: “The project was the culmination of a three step plan started ten years earlier with the complete refurbishment and re-design of our changing room facilities at Cooke Fields.
“This was followed by the installation of match quality lights around the 1st XV pitch which provided the option to play evening and midweek games when required.
“The training pitch lights which cover two full size pitches replace the original 25 year old lights that had served so well and were rapidly approaching becoming unfit for purpose.
“We are doubly delighted that after an in depth review of our structure, systems, processes and plans for the future the RFU have endorsed our club with the award of Accreditation which demonstrates the RFU’s confidence in our determination to continue developing a rugby for all ethos at Lichfield.”
