Oxfam are looking for enthusiastic local volunteers to join their new fundraising group in Lichfield.
The charity is keen to find passionate and dedicated local people to work together to raise money.
Jenna Wills, Oxfam’s regional fundraising manager, said “People in Lichfield have always been really supportive of Oxfam’s work, especially of our two shops in Market Street.
“The area has so much going on – it’s a really vibrant city with fun, community orientated events taking place all the time. I’ve just moved to the area and would love to set up a group – all I need is just a few people to join me!”
Oxfam hopes to start a group of fundraisers who meet regularly and organise fun, friendly local events to help the poorest people on the planet.
“The group’s fundraising activities can be anything and everything – in fact whatever they decide,” Jenna added. “We have 50 groups across the country who organise all kinds of events, ranging from cupcake making to golf days and gala dinners. The one thing our groups do have in common is how much our volunteers love being part of them – and there’s a role for everyone – all we ask if for people to spare just a couple of hours a month.”
