TRAIN passengers have been warned that timetables will be reduced due to hot weather.
Network Rail said services to and from London Euston – including those on the West Coast Main Line at Lichfield Trent Valley – could face disruption.
A red extreme heat warning has been issued on Wednesday (24th June) and tomorrow.
West Midlands Railway has also confirmed similar measures on the Cross City Line.

Jonny Wiseman, customer experience and commercial director for West Midlands Railway, said:
"With extremely high temperatures forecast over the coming days we will be running a significantly reduced service across our network for safety reasons.
"We advise our customers to check before travelling on Tuesday and to only travel on Wednesday and Thursday if their journey is essential.”
Gary Walsh, from Network Rail, said:
"With weather warnings in place across the country for extreme hot weather, services in and out of London Euston will be reduced this week.
"We strongly advise customers to plan ahead, check their journeys, and only travel if absolutely necessary on the hottest days. If you do need to travel, please allow extra time and carry water to stay cool.
"We're working closely with our train operator partners to protect the reliability of the railway during the extreme heat. This includes running trains at slower speeds at some locations to keep people and our infrastructure safe."
