Friends of a Lichfield woman who died after being hit by vehicles on the A38 are set to pay a pink tribute at her funeral.

Helen Suzanne Raybone died on January 14 after falling from the bridge at Darnford Lane.

The 21-year-old’s funeral is set to take place on February 1 at St Michael’s Church in Lichfield and her family have asked mourners to wear items of clothing in her favourite colour.

Speaking on a Facebook group set up in tribute to the former Nether Stowe pupil, a family member said:

“We’re asking if everyone can wear something pink on the day because it was her favourite colour…a tie, necklace, socks etc.”

Some of the 250 people who have joined the group have expressed their shock at Helen’s death.

One former school friend described her as a “kind, warm hearted girl, with a beautiful smile” while another called her a “courageous and lovely girl”.
