Whittington and Fisherwick could become the latest party of Lichfield to become a designated neighbourhood area.
Whittington & Fisherwick Parish Council is the eleventh parish to apply to Lichfield District Council to become a neighbourhood area.
If successful, the move would be the first stage in the process of creating a local neighbourhood plan.
Councillor Ian Pritchard, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Growth & Development, said: “Gaining local support for a neighbourhood area is an important step in creating a neighbourhood plan, which is why we are encouraging people that live in or around Whittington or Fisherwick to feedback their thoughts on this proposal.”
A consultation is giving residents the chance to comment on the proposed area designation. This will run until March 26, 2014.
