Planners reject proposal for 11 new homes in Burntwood

Plans for 11 new homes in Burntwood have been rejected.

Developers had hoped to build the properties on the site of the former WJ Robinson & Sons Butchers shop on High Street, Chasetown.

The two bedroom homes would also have featured solar roof technology, but the outline planning permission application was rejected by Lichfield District Council.

In a refusal note, the local authority explained: “The application fails to demonstrate that the proposed number of residential units could be accommodated in a manner which would result in a layout which functions well.”

Full details of the plan and the decision notice can be found on Lichfield District Council’s planning website.
