PLANS for a new mobile phone mast in Alrewas have been withdrawn.
The 17.5metre high monopole had been earmarked for land off Micklehome Drive.
However, concerns were raised by Lichfield District Council’s arboricultural officer due to the location of a mature tree on the plot.
Alrewas Parish Council had also questioned why the mast could not be placed on the opposite side of the A38 and further away from residential properties.
