A children’s nursery near Lichfield could be moving home if planning chiefs give the scheme the go-ahead.
Plans have been submitted to Lichfield District Council for the Elswick House Nursery to be relocated to Park Barn on Fisherwick Wood Lane where an agricultural building would be re-used for the business.
The nursery is currently based at Fisherwick Road in Whittington, but concerns over access and safety have led to the relocation proposals.
A planning statement supporting the application says:
“It is anticipated that Park Barn will enable Elswick House Nursery to increase the level of staff by 5 and thus enable the Nursery to increase the daily intake to 50 children on site at any one time. It is anticipated that this will be done on a phased basis.”
Residents can have their say on the proposals via Lichfield District Council’s online planning website.
