THE first players have been teeing off at Beacon Park’s new adventure golf course.

The nine-hole facility has a woodland theme and challenges visitors to negotiate obstacles, slopes, tunnels and tricky hazards.

Lichfield District Council said the new facility formed part of a wider programme of improvements at the park which will also see new padel tennis courts and an “enhanced” pitch and putt golf course.

Cllr Andy Smith, Lichfield District Council’s deputy leader and cabinet member for leisure and major projects, said:

“The new adventure golf course is absolutely fantastic. It enhances the park, is affordable and great fun. Come and enjoy a round soon.”

Prices start from £1.50 per child and £3 per adult.
