POLICE are urging parents in Burntwood to ensure they know where their children are after reports of anti-social behaviour.

Officers say incidents have been reported of groups of children “littering and causing a nuisance” to local residents in the Cedar Road area.

PCSO Deryn Small said:

“There are also concerns that some children have been seen swinging a gas canister around, which poses a serious safety risk. If dropped or thrown, this could cause damage to parked vehicles, homes or potentially result in injury.

“We would like to remind parents and guardians of the importance of knowing where your children are and who they are with, understanding what they are doing when out in the community, and making them aware of the risks and consequences of anti-social behaviour.”
