Cowardly extremists cannot be allowed to dictate the way people live their lives, Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner has said.
Matthew Ellis’ comments come after the deaths of 22 people in a terrorist attack in Manchester.
And he has urged locals to remain vigilant to the threat of terrorism.
“We cannot allow the cowardly actions of extremists to change the way we live our lives,” Mr Ellis said. “I’m reassured by the briefing I’ve received today following the events in Manchester.
“Communities across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent must remain vigilant and it is vital that all of us, no matter how hard it might be, support our police and security services with information.”
