Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash near Lichfield.
The accident involving a blue Renault Scenic and a black Audi Q5 happened around 2.15 pm on December 16 on the A453 towards Bassetts Pole.
A 76-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman both from the Burton area, were taken to hospital, the woman has since been released but the man remains in hospital.
Police are particularly keen to trace two female witnesses who may have seen the crash and passengers on an Arriva bus that was stationary at the time.
