POLICE have launched a crackdown on illegal off-road bikes across Staffordshire.

Hotspots across the county were targeted as part of Operation Reclaim.

The National Police Air Service worked alongside officers in cars and on bikes to tackle anti-social behaviour.

During the operation, two off-road motorbikes and one e-scooter were seized.

Inspector Chris Moss, of the road crime team, said:

"We regularly receive reports of off-road bikes causing disruption and being driven anti-socially and we do not underestimate the issues that the illegal use of vehicles cause.

"I am pleased we are continuing to work at pace with colleagues across the organisation to target these vehicles and those who use them irresponsibly."
