A HUNDRED new affordable homes at a development in Lichfield have been handed over to a local housing provider.
Persimmon Homes West Midlands has given the keys to the properties at its Cromwell Quay development on Cricket Lane to Orbit Homes.
They include a mix of one to four-bedroom homes, and are available for affordable rent and shared ownership.
Philip Keegan, construction director at Persimmon West Midlands, said:
"We’re proud to have brought these much-needed affordable homes to Lichfield and to be collaborating with our partners to support local housing demand.
"These quality, energy-efficient homes will give families and individuals the chance to establish themselves in a thriving community and a new neighbourhood."
Colin Dean, sales and marketing director for Orbit Homes in the Midlands, added:
"We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Persimmon to expand the availability of much-needed new affordable homes in the area and we’re very proud to be delivering these homes in a mix of affordable tenures to support local housing need.
"We’re excited to continue progressing at the site and welcome more residents into this new community."
