The Cycle Rides for All series kicks off on 24th March with a five-mile taster route setting off from Beacon Park.

The monthly event will take in the likes of Chasewater, the National Memorial Arboretum and Fradley Junction this year.

Jamie Dodd, health and wellbeing activator for Lichfield District Council, said: “Cycling is a great way to get some exercise and to visit some fantastic places across the district.

“I hope plenty of people come along to our first ride of the season round Lichfield.

“All the bikes get a quick safety check by Freedom Cycles before setting off, to make sure they are roadworthy.

“We also recommend wearing safety helmets and that you bring a packed lunch and drink, although there is a café stop on most rides.”

Anyone who wants to join the Lichfield taster ride should turn up with their bikes at Beacon Park at 11am. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
