Trains through Lichfield have been severely disrupted after a man died when he was hit by a train near Rugeley.
The incident happened at around 10.30am today (May 12).
Virgin Trains confirmed that a number of their services were affected with several trains being diverted through Birmingham.
The line reopened at around 1pm, although a number of trains are not stopping at Rugeley Trent Valley while investigations into the incident continue.
