Repairs to Minster Pool’s bridge are set to take place.
Staffordshire County Council is aiming to carry out the work between March 10 and 31.
A spokesperson said: “The bridge works will involve pointing up and reconnecting the blue brick masonry pier to the centre of the old section of arch and a local patch repair to fill the hole in the arch crown.
“The aim of the solution would be to undertake the minimum works to make the structure safe while also trying to minimise disruption to road users”
Drivers are likely to face disruption while the work is carried out, with temporary traffic lights in place.
