A final appeal has gone out for entries to the Burntwood in Bloom competition.
Organisers have blamed poor weather for the low number of applications so far but are hoping green-fingered residents will enter before the June 28 deadline.
A spokesperson for Burntwood Town Council said: “We know there are lots of beautiful gardens, hanging baskets and troughs in the town and we really want to encourage people to enter the competition.
“There are prizes and trophies to be won so why not give it a go?”
The closing date for entries is June 28 and judging will take place on July 5 and 6, with schools judging on July 2.
Entry forms can be collected from the Town Council’s office on Bridge Cross Road, requested by calling 01543 677166 or downloading them from www.burntwood-tc.gov.uk.
