Time is running out for people in Lichfield and Burntwood to have their say on the future of the library service in the area.
More than 1,000 Staffordshire residents have already responded on the issue, ahead of a formal consultation in the summer.
County Councillor Mike Lawrence said: “We’ve had an excellent response so far and I urge everyone with an interest in our libraries to get involved in the conversation.
“We need people’s help to adapt the service so that it meets the needs of our communities and is sustainable. Libraries have changed enormously in recent years to keep pace with new technology and how the internet has transformed the way people read books and magazines, access information, and even socialise.
“It’s also essential that we are spending every penny of taxpayers’ money as well as we can, on the things that people want and need.
“Tell us what you value about their libraries, and how you think they could change to keep pace with changing technology, tastes and lifestyles.”
The deadline for submissions is on Friday (February 28). To share your views visit the Staffordshire County Council website or fill in a leaflet in libraries across Lichfield and Burntwood.
