The ribbon has been cut on a new housing development in Lichfield.
The £6million Lichfield One scheme has seen the creation of 33 apartments by housing provider Bromford on Lower Sandford Street.
Cllr Bob Awty, chairman of Lichfield District Council, officially opened the new development at a ceremony in the city before being shown around the apartments.
“I was delighted to attend the ribbon cutting on this splendid new development which has some of the most stunning views anywhere in Lichfield,” Cllr Awty said. “It offers residents a select location right in our beautiful city centre.
“With so much on their doorstep, from Beacon Park and the cathedral, to all the shops and restaurants, I am sure the apartments will make very happy homes for years to come.”
A Help to Buy open weekend for first time buyers takes place on Saturday and Sunday (June 23 and 24) for those interested in the two bedroom apartments.
Penny Downing, Bromford’s sales and marketing director, added: “This area of Lichfield has been completely transformed thanks to the £14million Friary Outer project and Lichfield One definitely feels like another key piece in the jigsaw and will further enhance this part of the city centre.
