Roads across Lichfield and Burntwood were closed earlier this morning (September 13) after trees were blown down by high winds overnight.

Staffordshire Police confirmed The Friary was closed from the Bowling Green island to the city centre.

Winds of up to 65mph were forecast – and the gusts also brought down a tree in Hunslett Road in Burntwood in the early hours forcing police to temporarily shut the road.
