Dean Gilbert has called for more of the same this weekend as his Lichfield City FC side face Feckenham for the second successive Saturday.
City recorded a 3-0 victory over Feckenham in the Jack Mould Trophy last weekend and welcome their Worcestershire opponents to Brownsfield Park on Saturday.
Gilbert is hoping that last weekend’s cup exploits will be repeated when the pair lock-horns once again, this time in a Midland Combination Second Division fixture. He said:
“They will want to avenge last weekend’s result. They are a good team. They have won all five of their league games so far but we showed at their place what we are capable of.
“They used their wide players quite a lot last weekend but their pitch is a lot wider than ours, so hopefully we can close the game up a little bit. They had three players in their team who were on loan from Evesham United, which shows their quality.
“We were awesome last weekend though and I’ll be telling the lads to go out there and give me the same level of performance.”
